Office and Information Management

PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy is the belief that training Office and Information Management will develop the mind, impart both theoretical and practical knowledge on the individual student, develop self confidence and help the individual to be an innovative and self reliant citizen.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the B.Sc Office and Information Management Programme are, among others:

to equip graduates with marketable skills in business information systems and technology.

to expose students to general concepts in business studies encompassing management, marketing, banking and finance, etc, since the office occupies a controlling position in commerce, industry and the public sector.

to equip graduates with marketable skills for deploying business/office applications and compugraphic software embodied in the Microsoft Office Bundle/Suite such as WORD for Windows, CorelDraw, Spreadsheet (Excel), Database (Assess), the Microsoft Publisher and related applications and multimedia business software.

The programme is designed to last for four academic sessions. Each session is made up of two semesters and each semester lasts for a minimum of fifteen weeks.
