CISCO

The National Information Technology Agency (NITDA) in partnership with CISCO (the world’s leading Networking Solution Provider has approved the Niger Delta University (NDU) as an Academic (NDU CISCO Networking Academy) for the training of Networking professionals.

The Academic will prepare students for the internationally recognized CISCO Networking Certificate (CISCO Certified Network Associate, CCNA) among others. The Academic hereby invites applications from members of the public who are interested in pursuing a career in networking for admission to the programme.

 

Course Structure and Duration

The CCNA program has four (4) modules. Each module runs for a period of twelve (12) weeks.

Certification Examinations

The Academy prepares students for the globally recognized CCNA Certification examinations (CCNA Certification examinations CISCO administers and awards certificates to successful candidates.

Career Opportunities

The programme trains students to acquire globally recognized skills and qualifications for an exciting career in Information and Communications Technology.

Facilities

The Academy provides excellent and conducive learning environment including CISCO Certified Instructors, CISCO Certified Laboratory equipment for hands-on practical training.

Admission Requirements

CISCO

The programme is open to graduates and non-graduates. Graduates with quantitative background (Management Sciences, Applied Sciences, Engineering etc) are encouraged to apply. Non-graduates must possess the minimum qualification of NECO WAEC or their equivalents.

Possessions of quantitative and technical aptitudes to conceptualize and solve problems in a technical area in addition to strong literacy in computer applications is desirable for all applicants.

Mode of Obtaining Forms

  1. Pay the sum of Two thousand naira (N2,000.00) to Account number 0031813793 domiciled at any Diamond Branch in Amassoma or Yenagoa and obtain a teller.
  2. Present the teller at the University Bursary and obtain Bursary receipt.
  3. Present the receipt at the ICT Office at Resource Centre or New Site (ICT Centre) Niger Delta University and obtain a form.
  4. Return the completed form to the ICT Office.
