Niger Delta University (NDU) has taken a significant step to deepen its collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) following a courtesy visit by the University Management to the Mobility Command.
Led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Allen A. Agih, the NDU delegation met with the Air Officer Commanding, Mobility Command, Air Vice Marshal Michael Nnanye Onyebashi.
During the visit, Prof. Agih expressed NDU’s appreciation for the NAF’s support during the NUC accreditation of the Department of Meteorology and Weather Forecasting. He highlighted the critical role of NAF’s provision of access to meteorological facilities and equipment in securing the programme’s successful accreditation.
Both institutions also explored new areas for collaboration, including:

3. Medicine
4. Environmental Science & Meteorology
5. Joint Research Initiatives
6. Student Industrial Training Placements
The engagement reaffirmed the shared commitment of NDU and the Nigerian Air Force to building a mutually beneficial partnership that advances education, innovation, research, and national development.
