The Niger Delta University has successfully held its 14th Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony at the Gloryland Campus Auditorium on April 27, 2026, inducting a new cohort of medical doctors into the profession.
Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Allen A. Agih, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Tonbarapagha Kingdom, declared the ceremony open and congratulated the inductees, emphasizing institutional identity and academic excellence.
The Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Prof. Israel Jeremiah, charged the new doctors to uphold ethics and professionalism, while goodwill messages from stakeholders, including the Nigerian Medical Association (Bayelsa State), encouraged them to remain committed to excellence.
The highlight of the ceremony was the administration of the Physician’s Oath by Dr. Tijjani Ali Mandaka (MDCN), marking the official transition of the inductees into licensed medical practitioners.
The ceremony ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Oyintonra Koroye, as the new doctors were urged to uphold discipline, identity, and service to humanity.
