Philosophy

 

The Faculty of Nursing Sciences believes that Nursing should have the greatest concern for service through high standards of scholarship and personal character. The ultimate aim of nursing education is the advancement of health, well-being and general welfare of the population through wider and deeper knowledge, finer skills, and broader appreciation of human values and cultural heritage.

To aim for excellence and international standard in teaching research and service by

1. by developing and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning in accordance with the academic code of practice of Niger Delta University
2. by undertaking staff development programmes
3. by promoting research for the improvement of health care practice
4. by promoting good nursing practice in clinical setting.
